Believe it or not the goal of recruiting is to win games in college. Everything gets shuffled again in college. I think I would be perfectly happy if LSU won the NC every year, but never sent one single player to the NFL.

Well these stars are based on how they think these players are ranked headed into COLLEGE. Alot changes between then and the NFL.

1 principle or dynamic that gets lost in this discussion is that the ideal college player isn't the ideal NFL player. Charlie Ward, Tebow, Couch, Crouch, etc. If you could have college Peyton Manning or college Tebow, who would you pick? The NFL versions are easy but not the college versions.

I really think everyone is reading way too much into the OP.
Regardless of its relevance, it is pretty interesting to look back and see where these guys projected coming out of HS. Nothing more, nothing less.
