re: Disney World - What's the best packages for food and drink

My take: there are a lot of interesting restaurants at Disney, but the food is not "great." If you are looking for knockout food, you won't find it. You will find "good" food at some places and kind of bland, indistinct food at most places. Also, serving sizes tend to be gigantic there. Keep that in mind.

That being said, my favorite restaurants:

Le Cellier - Canada Pavilion

Ohana - Polynesian Resort

1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian (breakfast)

Liberty Tree Tavern - for when I'm starving in the Magic Kingdom. Usually easy to get into.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - Wilderness Resort - for their milkshakes.

My advice on food - don't eat out every day. If you're staying five days, just pick two places to have dinner, and two places to do breakfast. In between, just pick up some pizza or Popeyes or something in the hotel room. Kids will love that. Never underestimate the benefits of down time in the room for the kids, and they will be craving something familiar to them. The parks wear them out. Big time.

As for the hotels, here's where I've stayed in order of preference:

Wilderness Lodge

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Some condo place off-site (sorry, can't remember)

Caribbean Resort - this hotel is HUGE, and it takes a while to walk around in it.

All-Star Resort (they are all the same) don't really recommend.
