You better get off that fancy back porch and chase the wife around a little bit. The older you get the harder it is to get back on that horse. I've come to the conclusion that rest does my body more harm than good since it hurts so much to come back after a break

Yesterday did a heavy back work out
followed by the 300 spartan work out. I was gassed
today nothing to much shite going on with work and family

oh believe me I'm off the couch now. I've gotten 4-6 workouts in a week since January 5th and have been lifting with a purpose. I've cut beer back to 1-2 days on the weekends usually only a couple. zero fast food/soft drinks.
I have about 10 lbs to lose but I'm not worried about the number on the scale as much as losing the belly fat and pants fitting easier and getting stronger. I usually get upper body strength/size back fast from genetics but at 40 the fat don't come off easy without purposeful diet. On my current plan I'll be looking much better in another 4-6 weeks.

why does it keep being anchored?
Posted on 1/29/15 at 9:37 am to Tiger Ryno
It doesn't, but the guy posting a new thread every day will cause anchors to start sinking these threads.
This happened a while back so we consolidated it to a weekly thread.
Yesterday:
Worked on Double Unders, which I suck at, did a 2 min AMRAP on Clean and Jerks, and followed that up with tabata squats.
Working out later today..

today's workout
back squat 8x2 (200) 30 sec rest period
bigh bar narrow stance back squat 2x6 (215)
pause squats 2x10 (190)
all squats done without wearing a belt. I dont see much of a purpose to wear one anymore unless I decide to compete in powerlifting again.
assistance work
dumbell shrugs 3x10
dumbell upright rows 3x10
glute ham raises 3x10
kettlebell swings 3x10 (35lbs) no heavier ones were found
30 minutes steady state cardio

If you fricks would keep this one bumped to the top there wouldn't be any confusion.

Yep. I didn't see this weekly thread when I started the daily thread yesterday. It wasn't bumped this morning either. Your bumping this thread instead of just posting in the one I started means the daily thread has been anchored. I won't start any more. LSUAlum or whoever else can have the responsibility to keep a thread bumped if they want to keep it going

It looks like an admin deleted it, which was bound to happen.
They are ok with a weekly thread but not daily threads.

Nope, it's on the second page. It just got anchored.

Why did my thread get anchored (or deleted)?
4. There is already a thread on the info that you are posting. This is self-explanatory. We don't need 10 threads on the board announcing what Robert Smith just said about LSU. We usually keep the thread with the best subject, and anchor/delete the repeat threads.
The admins won't let there be more than one thread on the first page with similar subject matter. They will anchor one. So, when you posted in my daily thread yesterday "frick this thread" and bumped your thread to the first page saying "this thread's better," they anchored yours. The admins won't let two threads sword fight on the first page.
Today, when you bumped your thread again, they anchored my daily thread. The issue isn't with a daily thread versus a weekly thread. In fact, I believe the admins would prefer users to create a new daily thread than bumping an old thread anyway. This is why there is a new GMT, Lunch Thread, LNST ever day. Those don't get anchored because there is only one thread. They just aren't gonna allow two identical threads at the same time..
So, if you don't want any conflict with your thread, start a new one every day or keep it bumped to the first page. This will resolve the issue. I only started the thread yesterday because I didn't see yours. I won't create any more threads to get in your way.

No. We like this thread. Pleas stop posting new threads.

This makes no sense in response to what I posted. But congrats on your failure to read, brah

I've fallen off the wagon so hard. Eating junk, not exercising. I've probably gained 5 or 10 pounds in the last month.
But that all ends next week. I'll get over this shite-tastic bronchitis and sinusitis and hit the gym again. I had that itch yesterday to go throw some weights around and couldn't do it. Made me want to throw my laptop out of my office door. It can't last much longer or else I may end up getting fired!

Make a resolution to start The change. I was in your boat a little over 3 weeks ago. I'm on fire with workouts and diet since Jan 5. It can be done. You must decide.
