bullshite. Move to DC. Fairly little snow or ice, no nasally yankee accents, the economy is always pretty solid, everyone makes OT money, and hardly any crime. In Arlington County we average one homicide per year. One. Most years we get none.

1. DC is not the north
2. DC sucks.
3. I live in Arlington County but just bought a house in Prince William because I'm not paying $400K to live in the white ghetto (though it's better in Fairfax).

Yes move to DC, the shithole dedicated to raping the American taxpayer and giving the government more control over our lives

And you can live in lovely Northern Virginia (pun intended!) and and help turn that once proud state into a Democrat stronghold

Troof. My HS was ranked 74 in the nation for public schools.

There was only one private school is a city of 1.2M (greater metro)

Lived in Ohio for six years. Great place to raise kids, 4 seasons with a tolerable winter (central Ohio), no blast furnace summers, interesting history everywhere, lots of outdoor and recreational stuff to do. I'd much rather be there than here in Mousetown.

The UP and stuff is nice, but the midwest and north are pretty awful generally.

Love DC but too expensive.

No it's not. The west is the best.

So much more gorgeous scenery out in the western states.

The north is awesome. Better lawns, better architecture, more appreciative women, real seasons, higher elevation, hash browns for supper with steak, snow, skiing etc.
Oh, and best of all, SMARTER PEOPLE. I might just move.

I have to agree.

If I didn't have responsibilities here, I would move west.

I would agree, though probably not for the same reasons. Hate Phoenix.

Northern states have great places to visit 4 months out of the year other than that not a place I'd want to live.

I don't mind the ice/snow. I do mind the cost of living and the general unfriendliness of a lot of people. Unless you're making 6 figures when you get to NYC its not worth it. Not a problem for the OT ballers on here, but for the peons its not worth it.
