Most college offenses aren't complex. NCAA rules limit practice time and coaches know that they can't install NFL-type offenses with all the wrinkles. Most of these kids don't have the ability to play in the NFL, so coaches water down the offenses to keep them generally understandable.

Mett ran an NFL level offense in 2013. One of the biggest selling points the scouts had on Landry and Beckham were how high of a level their route running was because of that system. Ej Manual also said that Fisher's scheme was more complex than the Buffalo Bills.

Of course the offense was dumbed down this year. Non of the kids could run the 2013 offense. Why don't you guys get that it is complex? Have you seen Dural's route running, or lack there is? We don't run many routes or higher level ones this year and the playbook was very limited because of it.

But I'm done telling you guys about this.

I remember when the story broke that it was Landry who called for the play that beat Arkanss....

Wish we had that familiarity with the offense with our current skill group.
