Lowes in particular stocks cheap stuff. What really burns me with both is how they will carry lines and then drop them making obtaining replacement parts difficult.

If you go to a specialty store be sure you buy brands of plumbing fixtures that replacement parts are readily available for. Local lumber yards can get good quality fixtures and tell you how easy it will be to get replacement parts.
