I'm looking at the S&W Bodyguard or the Ruger LCP. Any pros and cons to pass along? Which one is an easier to conceal? TIA

i have the lcp. i tend to carry it because it is smaller than any of the others i have. i have the belt clip on mine. I like being able to clip it in my waistband when i go jogging or running. Easy to conceal in any pocket.
Negative, long trigger pull.

I would suggest the Kahr CW380. It's priced about the same as the LCP but has a much better trigger and decent sights. Look it up.

In before the "Go get a G19."
I'd worry more about which one you can actually shoot better.
Both are POS.
IOW go get a G19.

My wife has a bodyguard and all I can say is the trigger pull sucks. It is nice to put in a pocket though.

Ruger reworked the trigger on the LCP about 6 months ago. You can spot the "new" LCP version by it's slightly taller sights. The new trigger feels not quite as long, and with a lighter pull.
quote:
“Ruger has addressed the two loudest objections to their pocket wonder. The trigger is still heavy but with a distinct decrease in pull distance. The sights are now larger and can be indexed off of more readily than the original design.”

LCP can easily slip in a shorts pocket (in a holster!) and be comfortable to carry.

Newest LCP just came out the other day.
It comes from the factory with dovetailed photoluminescent sights, a wide "performance" trigger, and a polished steel guide rod.

The reason the trigger pull is bad on these is for safety reasons if its in your pocket.
Is made for very close combat emergency situations, not for hitting targets far away.
