Altuve only touched that in what will be his career year.

I like this deal for both sides, but I actually think thought that Fowler would be a straight swap for Valbuena. Getting Straily as well makes this a nice return for the Astros. Both Fowler and Valbuena do a great job of getting on base.

I always liked Fowler, so I am excited to see him as a Cub.

Again, no one is arguing against that. Would you agree that most would take Altuve's career .340ish OBP for 650 ABs per year with 35+ SB and above average glove at 2nd base over Fowlers .366 OBP in 450 ABs, 12 SB and below average CF glove?

Calling Altuve's season last year his career year isn't going out on the limb much. How many players have multiple .340 BA with 50+ SB seasons in their career?

Edit because Altuve graded pretty low with the glove last season too. I was wrong about him having a good glove.
