I understand he had a crucial charge and turnover late in the game, but at least he was trying. Guess it's better to shoot a contested NBA 3 like TQ?

Most of our team, especially our "superstars", lack a killer instinct. That cannot be coached. You're up 13 in the 2nd half and let the other team come back.

Let's talk about 1/13 from 3 in the 2nd half. What can CJJ do, take the players out? There's plenty of blame to go around. Sure some mismanagement on the coach's part, Gray had a couple of late bad turnovers, TQ thinks he's Ray Allen, Martin is about as soft as Charmin, etc etc. Not giving up on this team, but that was a frustrating way to lose

Gray puts himself above the team.

I totally agree, at least Gray is trying to totally transform his game, Quarterman on the other hand needs to understand his role. He is a slasher, driver, rebounder, good on defense. NOT A SHOOTER.

He needs to realize who the shooters are, that is the edge J. Patterson has on Quarterman, understanding of the game. Basketball IQ.

That game is on gray. He sucked it up today. He turns the ball over so fricking much I'd bench his arse.

He is guilty of everything you said about everyone else, and he basically handed them the game. That pretty much explains it.

You didn't even watch the game bro.

Gray made bonehead plays ALL day. I remember seeing his turnover stat was only 2 at halftime and I just laughed. It should have been 4-5. He has been brutal in our 2 losses.

I said in the game thread that Gray was to blame before he even turned it over on the last possession.

Really? How about call a TO and make it a point of emphasis to stop settling for rushed 3's instead of just staring blankly while your large lead evaporates

Find a HS coach in the BR area that knows how coach an offense against a zone defense. Every game teams eventually zone LSU. And every game LSU settles for 3's against it. Martin couldn't be bothered to flash to the FT line with any sort of purpose, and the ball just lazily moves around the peremiter with no appraent effort to get the defense out of position

Find a way to get your best player (whoever that is) free for a late game shot. Hell, ask Andy Kennedy. He had no trouble figuring it out.

SEC coaches run circles around Jones. Settle in this week, your about to watch two of the better ones in the league put on a clinic

Gray needs to calm down a little and JJ needs to call a timeout when the team is playing lazily instead of waiting until we lose the lead entirely.

Uhh, how about he does what coaches are supposed to do and make adjustments?

For the last 10+ minutes of the game, A&M ran a zone because they knew we couldn't make a 3. They doubled Martin and Mickey every time they touched the ball and forced us to take 3s. What did our coaches do to adjust? Nothing. I can understand that its frustrating to watch our guards miss open 3s, but if you're a coach and you see that it isn't working you have to change something.

Its pretty simple for us in close games, we have to get Martin and Mickey the ball in crunch time. And that ultimately falls on the head coach when we fail to do so.

Gray turns the balls over by getting off the floor and trying to pass the ball or trying to drive to the rim more than anyone I've ever seen

Gray was a shite show today. Continually drives into the defense, out of control, and turns the ball over or takes an I'll advised shot. So frustrating to watch the same shite over and over from him.

As good as he was against Ole Piss, he reverted back today. Almost as if he decided it was time to get his.

CJJ takes him out after the charge and he sulked on the bench refusing a hand shake from Malone, then CJJ rewards that by putting him back in and basibally putting the game in his hands, and surprise...he turns it over.

He'll help us in some games later I'm sure, but too many games like this from him to this point. We need better from him to get this team where it should be.

Gray is under the impression that if he beats his man off the dribble, he is going to shoot. Period.

Its like having allen iverson on team USA. Iverson was a huge weapon when he is clearly the best player on the floor. When you surround him with equal or better talent and play against similar talent it just doesnt work.

Pretty easy. Turnover machine. For a PG and a ball distributor, he's not a very good ball handler. Drive first mentality. I applaud JJ for the team he's put together, with him being the exception. They need to go;

PG. Patterson
SG. Hornsby
SF. Quartermann
PF. Martin
C. Mickey

Bump Martin, and Mickey down and move Malone, yes Malone to C for a big lineup.
