I guess the same thought with carbine AR's. Better versatility for close quarter combat? I wonder how much the accuracy suffers out to distance if at all with that shorter barrel. I think the shorter barrels look superior but prlly do nothing for it as far as function.

Most AR rounds were designed to shoot out of a carbine length barrel.

I read something awhile back about how 7.62 suffers from some tumbling 150-200~yards out out of a short barrel, but for what this is I don't see how that would be a huge problem.

I wouldn't use it for very long range shooting just out of "superstition" if nothing else
