No they didn't
We don't know what offense they were going to run with miller
With Barrett they threw a ton of short passes
With Jones and a healthy Elliot they ran the ball a ton and used downfield passing
The comparison to LSU is tOSU stayed in the gun and ran zone read with all three QBs. LSU complicates things by insisting the QB go under center and run I formation. This causes the LSU QBs to learn 3/5/7 step drops and reading a defense while dropping back. Which is hard to do
Plus the tOSU OL got better as the year went on

Uhhhhh, so did LSU's. Not only the Oline, but the running game followed with improvements....but the passing game got worse. Please explain.
Yes, subtle differences are normal, but OSU didn't change the look or identity of their offense. The qb had to rise up instead of the offense having to slow down, period

BOOM!
we try to run a pro style offense.
IF we can be proficient at it, great.
our problem is that we either cant develop and/or recruit qbs to run it.
its much harder on qbs than what we see in columbus, eugene, auburn, etc.
les needs to do some soul searching on this because if we cant get a jamarcus russell, matt flynn or mettenberger type to play qb here and develop then we are screwed.
apparently we can develop them (mettenburger) and even make a decent qb out of players like lee (it took a while), but we have to recruit guys that have the ability to play that way. jennings sure as hell doesnt. maybe harris does, but we might be better off letting cam do what he did with randle-el at indiana.
