I'd rather an unknown up and comer compared to a known failure.

How did that whole HC thing work out for O? I remember those bumper stickers. Funny no one else does. "O" The Coach. Complete failure but all of a sudden he would have been the answer to all our prayers. The BS people come up with on here never ceases to amaze me.

To answer the OPs question: we have to wait and see as LSU fans. I cannot say I'm excited about the hire. For now, I am interested how LSU finishes recruiting on that side of the ball. Next year, I'll give Steele his shot. I expect to see possible weakness at the DE and OLB positions. If I see improved play or similar play next year I'll be pleased. If halfway through I see the DTs, DBs, and MLBs regressing, I'll not be happy with KS.
