NO reason a program like LSU shouldn't be able to get a household name with a proven track record

LSU is nothing special except to LSU people. To anyone else we are no different then Miss. St. Ole Miss, Arkansas, or Missouri.. Once you learn this you will know that LSU isn't the holy grail of college football and not expect really good coaches who are happy where they are presently coaching to leave their job to coach here.

LSU has the highest paid coaching staff in the nation.

Chief leaving and Steele being hired is more of a testament to Miles than it is LSU. LSU won a NC 2 years before Miles was hired and will won more whenever he gets fired as he's setting himself up to be.

What sets LSU apart from those schools is that Tiger Stadium is the most intimidating place to play in college football and that, in the recent past, our "down" years aren't close to the down years of other programs.

Top-tier players want to play at LSU because it's LSU. A lot of people would say that we have no business getting a 5* wide receiver after the God-awe full passing game we displayed this last season, but they still come. Saying LSU is equivalent to Miss. St. is just ridiculous IMO.
