well he had 1 year as a DC, and another as a Co- DC. He had some NFL experience as a position coach most of the 90's
Steele has coached in the NFL, he's been an NCAA head coach, and has had a big role in the best defense in the nation and best defensive coach in the nation for 4 seasons.
Im not saying Pelini's was bad, i just think Steele's is better

But the difference is that Pelini was moving upward.
