This seems crazy as hell. I've been in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa after titles were won. It was a fun party in the streets. Thank God, I was never sprayed. Let the kids have their fun. Check the 30 second mark when they start spraying. Seems totally unnecessary.

YEAH! No reason why we shouldn't be able to jump up and down on ambulances with no recourse!

I didn't see a single burning couch or tipped over car...they were celebrating responsibly the way we do in BR. Why would they pepper spray them like that?

LSU fans would have been too busy complaining we didn't throw the ball enough in the win to be celebrating.

Looks like a good efficient job by the police imo.

Northerners just cant control themselves when celebrating.

Yankees don't know how to celebrate for shite

I remember how amazed all the commentators were at the scene in New Orleans after the SuperBowl. Its not that hard to NOT destroy shite, dumbasses.

Obviously, I'm just speculating, but I can imagine that the police got on microphones and told the students multiple times to clear the street. For their own safety and that of motorists.

When they didn't get out of the damn street, that's probably when the pepper spray came out.

If any of those kids had gotten hit by a car, or a car had to swerve to avoid hitting a kid and ran into a fire hydrant or store front or whatever, people would be demanding to know why the police weren't controlling the situation.

Auburn cops turned the pepper spray loose on students in 2001 after AU beat Spurrier and UF. Granted we had just torn down the goalposts.
