I'm not sure on that. I had a 06, and now an '11. I haven't had serious trouble, but oil changes are almost $100.

Need to do a leak down test to confirm blown head gasket. But if you are pushing out coolant from the overflow (and not overheating) that is most likely the problem.

A new head gasket on a modern diesel is above the scope of most home mechanics.

Definitely get a quote. If you're around BR, Tricare on Airline specializes in newer diesel repairs.
