Sounds about right. People want their cooked animals resembling animals as little as possible.

This, and how true.

I'm amazed how people are repulsed by Asian cuisine by eating fresh raw protein, or even live, but have no problem reaching for that steak that's been sitting on the grocer's shelf for a week. My special needs Sister for instance loves loves loves shrimp, but will absolutely freak out if the head is still attached...but I digress...

After hunts, my Dad would bring home delicious birds to eat, but if feathers were frowned upon, he'd be banished from any kitchen because he didn't remove each and every feather. Big deal. Also had to chew lightly as to not break any teeth on shot.
