NYC and VEGAS are first tier

MIA and LA 2nd

Nola has a solid night life depending what you are looking for... the fact you can go to areas and walk to several different "types" of night clubs with drinks in hand and be pretty hammered gives it a pretty good edge. Also for the dive bar crowd, NOLA is solid in that department with having some pretty damn cool neighborhood establishments you can't really find anywhere else with as ease access to hit several in a night with minimal cab fare.

Austin would probably be ahead of NOLA.

I'm being overly broad, but Vegas just doesn't have the diversity NYC has. Vegas is mainly bottle service, clubbing, strip clubs and some old Vegas dives. NYC has something for everyone.

I would put LA into that first tier. Miami is great for clubbing, but not much else

I think several cities could go in the #5 slot instead of NOLA. Austin and Dallas are two that I've spent several weeks in each that I think could go there.

In fact, I like going out in Dallas more than NOLA, but the convenience of the FQ in NOLA such a huge factor. Dallas has multiple clubs (and strip clubs) that are better than any in NOLA, but in NOLA you can walk into 10, 20 or however many different places in a single night and not have to worry about driving, a dui, cabs, etc.

I guess Clubbing type Clubbing... I was just thinking bar scene in general.... and LA was just too spread out for me... but yeah if want to really hit a club, you could find some of the best in the world in LA.... So I get what you're saying about it being first tier


NYC is where it's at..... If I could find something lucrative for me in NY, i'd move there soon.... Wonder how hard it would be to get a top notch bartending gig in the city with a pretty solid resume? And find me something entry level during the day and work my way up... hmmm

1. NYC--anything you want--dive bars, neighborhood/Irish pubs, clubs
2. LA--same variety as NY, but more spaced out and the neighborhood bars/pubs don't seem as authentic.
3a/3b--Miami/vegas--club heavy. Hard to have a really great night without bottle service or high covers
5--Chicago/NOLA/San Francisco--definately a tier below 1-4, but still great.
