How long do you leave your dog crated while you're at work?

I get my 9mo Boykin back from trainer this week and am wondering if he is old enough to hold it all day.

By the time my GSD was 9 months old, she could hold for 12 hours.

He can easily hold it all day. I leave mine free in the house now, until she was 2 I crated her all day. I started leaving her all day when she was probably 7-8 months. The most important thing is to make sure the crate is the right size for him. If it's just big enough where he can get up, turn around, and lay back down, then he won't piss in it.

Mine is 10 months old and I crate him all night. If the dog was at a trainer ask if it went in its kennel. If not then it will be ok in your crate during the day.

The old girl (RIP)..Precious (lab mix) was able to go in the crate at 6-7 months and hold it for 8-9 hours no problem. Annabelle (chocolate lab) never could get acclimated to the crate...she has anxiety issues and would literally slobber all over the crate...she held it without being in the crate. The GSP mix was gotten much later in life (she was 4)...but didn't have any issues with holding it.
