Do you remember the big show that Waylon and Willie used to do at the State Fair Grounds back in the day? I actually saw some pretty decent shows out there when I was in high school and college. Jerry Jeff Walker is the first one that comes to mind, but there were others. I want to say I saw REO Speedwagon out there as well.

Hell yes, I remember sneaking in under the fence along Bayou Manchac....
The State Fair actually used to have some decent concerts back then too. I saw Cheap Trick, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels and many others...........late 70's early 80's.......
