If you crave sun, just drive across the Cascades.
I've spent a fair amount of time in Seattle and even when overcast, the weather doesn't keep you from doing outdoor stuff.

it's plenty sunny. weather is great march-october.
only thing that bothers me is the super short days in winter. light at 8am and dark at like 4. i'm at work for all dat shite.
