re: "Bundle up. You're gonna catch a cold." Is plausible.

Do you people read the article, or just proud that you can convert from C to F?

I was addressing the OP. It infers that bundling up will help prevent a cold, but then states that even at 92 F you are more vulnerable. I'm trying to point out that "what the hell are you supposed to do at 92 F to prevent a cold?"

Not have a seriously compromised immune system. "More Vulnerable" is relative.

The normal person wont have to do a thing.

I saw this article yesterday and just don't understand how this is news. The argument about cold weather has always been whether or not you can catch a cold from being cold. The answer is no. It's been common knowledge for a long time that the cold virus spreads easier when it's cold outside because of the effect that low temperatures have on our immune systems.

No, grandma and grandpa were not right. I will not catch a cold by not bundling up. I am just more likely to.

Considering 33 deg C is ~ 92 deg F, this argument makes no sense.

33 degrees C in your nasal passageway is the optimum temp for virus to thrive.

Your nasal passageway is normally 37 degrees C.

Bundling up helps to maintain your immune system. Point two I listed in the OP.

How are you guys not getting this? Not wearing enough clothing, especially in your extremities, drops your core body temp. Anyone who has ever not worn thick enough socks to a deer stand understands this. When your core temp drops, your body has to work harder to keep it up, and your immune system suffers. Combine this with breathing cold air, which provides a better environment for the virus to replicate in your respiratory tract, and your odds of contracting the virus go up. It's not one or the other, it's both, and has been known if not proven for a very long time.
