I love all of them. I'd say just watch them in order:
Days of Heaven
The Thin Red Line
The New World
The Tree of Life
To the Wonder
Make sure you watch them in bluray. I own the Criterion Bluray editions of Days of Heaven/Thin Red Line. The New World is a thing of beauty on bluray.
But I'll say this: none of those films above are like Badlands. Everything above is filmed in more of an "artsy" style. It's not for everyone but I love his films.
