The day my sister was born. My mom remembers coming down from all the drugs to all of the nurses talking about it. Never got to see him play but sure do love watching the old clips of him.

Dad used to take me and a friend to the cow palace to watch him play.
Amazing talent.

Later I had the good fortune to meet him outside the locker room and get his autograph following a Jazz vs Hawks preseason game in the PMAC.

This was a double header with the LSU preseason Purple/Gold game.

Pete was nice enough to bring me in the locker room and introduce me to Elgin Baylor, Jazz coach at the time. Telling me to be sure and get his autograph as well. He then introduced me to Hot Rod Hundley who was the Jazz radio play by play guy.

If I am not mistaken this was the only game Pete ever played in the Building named after him.
