No, if they know his name, and that he was a Beatle then they know more than nothing.
ETA: It may seem obvious, but nothing is in fact... nothing.

Basically nothing =/= literally nothing.
ETA: You're ignoring the adjective to try to make it look like I don't know what nothing is defined as.

BTW, just listened to the song, and it's pretty good. Although it's tough to say "featuring Paul McCartney" since he seemed to barely be in it (I assume he also played the keyboard as well).
But it's a good song. I think Kanye is pretty much an a-hole, but he's pretty damn talented. And songs about his mother are pretty awesome (Hey Mama is one of his best songs IMO).

So we're clear that you've now changed your stance twice in this thread?
I took one stance, then clarified it once.

I'm 26, and I'm pretty damn sure that all of my friends can list all the Beatles

No, sir. "Clarfying it" doesn't mean changing it to try and fit it into what you originally said now that you realize it doesn't hold much, if any, water.
You can't say that they have no idea who he is and now say "Well, just knowing his name and that he was a Beatle is almost nothing." Those two things are mutually exclusive. Knowing his name and that he was a Beatle (which is what made him the most famous) means exactly that they know who he is. Thus, you're changing your stance like I said.
Other than Carrie Underwood, I can't name a single thing she's done aside from winning American Idol (I think). But that doesn't mean I don't know who she is. I couldn't name a single James Cagney film, but I know that he was a famous actor, especially in old gangster pictures. Etc.

I Turn 23 in two weeks. I went to his concert in Nola back in October

I'm in my 20s and I know the Beatles' names:
Paul McCartney
John Lennon
George Harrison
Ringo Starr
Way to go for thinking all young people are stupid .

It's not changed, I explained what I meant by what I said. Sorry you don't agree.

Not only can I, I did. Because recognizing two very popular names doesn't mean you know anything about those two names.

Then you really don't knwo anything about who they are. Thanks for illustrating my clarified point.

If you really want to be technical, Richard Starkley.

It was a great show. Probably the best concert I've ever been to. He played for 3 hours.

You're lying and inserting an adjective to be argumentative and try to change what the discussion was about after the fact.
