LSU with Mett, OBJ,etc: No natty. Blame CLM (which i agree)

Alabama this year and last: no natty either. Can coaching be blamed? Kiffin? If so, Saban could overrule his play calling?

Coaching to blame for both of the schools losses?

Bama made some coaching errors last night...but let's not forget they were facing off vs a pretty damn good coach that has won 2 national titles

Lsu was more talented than Bama in 2013 on O and in 2014 on D...the difference was coaching

absolutely, Kiffin was forcing the ball down field but Saban could have overruled. The Bama defense played like crap but I think Kiffin cost them the game. Why are you not running Henry more?

Bama made it to the final 4....and came close to going to the final.

We went 8-5, lost to a crap Notre Dame team, got beat 17-0 by Arkansas, and didn't finish in the top 25.

So since you are comparing Saban's errors to Miles' errors; are you saying that you'd pass on trading Miles for Saban? Please, man. Enough of this shite.

Sure you can blame Saban/Kiffin, but putting Miles in the same paragraph as Saban is asinine.

kiffin engineered an offense where a former RB put up better overall stats than our savior did last year in a dream season

Saban can only win with NFL players vs college players

The real point is that OSU talent much inferior to Bama talent at least if you believe in counting "stars". And just looking at the field the OSU Dline was much much smaller than Bama's Oline. So how does OSU win? Better coaching. It seemed to me that Bama could have just run D Henry all night and won by a mile but Kiffen likes to be creative. And maybe if Bama's not passing then OSU could stack the box like teams do vs LSU because they know we cant throw (or is it that we cant catch?) and rank 114th in Passing Offense according to NCAA LINK
Another point is that LSU has had better recruiting class ranks than ND but ND seemed to be better coached or better prepared team. You can say LSU was playing in an afterthought bowl that nobody cared about but so was ND and their coaches had them ready to play. So players matter but I think coaching matters more. Having said that its great to see Bama lose despite all their "advantages"

Their defensive backfield is horrible...
They were even worst with Collins out!

Alabama looked like a poorly coached team last night. Missed tackles, poor execution, bad game planning, playing hurt players!

We've gotten players from their state just like they've gotten a few from La. (Russell, Williford, Neighbors, Allen, Alexander, etc.)

In 9 meetings vs Saban, Miles has won 3, but has had a great chance to win at least 6 of the 9, if not 7.) Only 2012 and 2013 were not competitive (although the '13 game was 17-17 in the 4th quarter until the Cecil and Billy Joe Bob bama refs called a phantom PI penalty, and of course bama scored on the very next play.)

This is simple, LSU is as talented as any team in America, bar none, everywhere but the QB position. If all we do is trade QB's with Bama then we have all of the rings and they don't. Incompetent QB play is the only difference.

We have lost out on some key players the last 3 years , and yes they were difference makers in games.

Time for CLM to win those recruiting battles.

didn't read the thread so don't know what others told you. But Alabamas talent is much greater than LSU's and it's not even close. Alabama has had the #1 ranked class each of the last 7 years. LSU not even close though Miles and staff do a great job of developing talent as evidenced by how many players they manage to put in the NFL . Coaching is about what and what in other aspects (other than recruiting). They have a much better system on offense. OUrs holds us back greatly and doesn't allow us to reach our full potential. Their offense system isn't nearly as good as a lot of schools in the country but it's light years a head of ours. There you go, that's it more or less it.
