Jameis is actually a very accurate passer. He works through his progressions, fits the ball into tight windows, and looks to throw from the pocket despite having decent mobility.
I think they will want to tighten up his delivery and footwork, but the rest of his game is pro level.
He's an excellent pro prospect.

Mariota on the other hand has benefitted from his system. He doesn't make progression reads, doesn't have to fit it into tight windows, makes poor decisions when flushed from the pocket, and the advantage of running he enjoyed in college will not help him in the NFL.

Name me an Oregon quarterback that has had any success in the NFL.
Name me a dual-thread QB that has remained injury-free in the NFL. (Is Wilson the only successful example in the last 15 years? Before that... Young?)
So, two exceptions in 25 years... and you think Mariota is going to make it happen?

Is he vastly superior to RG3 or Manziel or Vick coming out of college?..... no.
If you are pulling for Tampa to make a poor draft pick.... hope they take Mariota.

I fully agree with this statement, except you are forgetting Cam. Dude get's knocked around but the only games he has missed are this year after getting hurt in a car wreck.

Mariota is fun to watch, but he will to translate to the NFL.
