I talked my dad into buying the Outlaw Audio soundbar and he opted to run it without a sub. It sounds really good.

Just purchased a Sonos sound bar. The sound from it is amazing. You can purchase a subwoofer (wireless) as an add on.

I can then link it to other Sonos speakers around the house. Very nice system.

Sonos is extremely expensive for the sound you get out of it. There are much better options for a fraction of the cost.

However, if you are trying to link speakers to multiple rooms or just insist on having a wireless setup, then there's nothing better out there.

It all depends on what you are really looking to accomplish with this.
