Considering the timing and unexpectedness of LSU having to turnover the defensive staff, I think those to guys would be about the best LSU could do (hell, it could possibly be an upgrade).

We would have the Seahawks defense next year if he comes.

Having these 2 would bring in a great game caller and technique coach along with the intensity and swagger that LSU defenses used to have.

We better be on the phone before Moo St starts their search tomorrow

Just curious why his name didn't come up in the other schools DC searches?

Would Coach O be willing to come back as a position coach? Seems he's probably someone you'd have to give a bigger title to and LSU already has a recruiting coordinator.

It also leaves LSU without a strong LBer coach. They'd need to let someone else go (cough*ensminger*cough) to make space for that, but I think it would be worth it.

Pendergast and O are close. That's what I'm going on here. LSU can make room for a LB coach I think

go get DeMontie Cross from TCU. he's only been there 2 years but considering Ole Miss has 60 total yards in the 3rd quarter, LSU needs whatever it is they do.

hes only 40, coached in the NFL with the Bills and was with Bert up in Wisconsin for a while too.

After reading that-plus Haslett getting fired today-my guess is the Redskins will go after him pretty hard.

I want to believe, too. Miles and the admin botched the transition from Pelini. Miles must know that he is done within 2 years if he doesn't get this right.

it looks like he and Miles were both on the staff in Dallas together. Miles was the TE coach from 98-2000, Pendergrast was the DB coach from 96-02
Ok so we have a connection! Go get him Leslie!

I had no idea Pendergast was even available. I would be happy with him as a DC.
