Needs to be option #1

Greg Mattison option #2

Whatever happens, the fans need to make themselves heard before LSU ends up with a Mark Snyder/Ellis Johnson

Would be legendary. Jerry Willis or Kevin Steele as LB coach too.

Only concern with Steele is that he has a 3-4 background.

Also if Saban thinks he poses any threat coming here....no way he walks.

Sounds good to me. I really want Coach O on the staff. He's a hell of a recruiter and players like him. And to be frank, I'm more concerned about him bolting for a head coaching job elsewhere instead of him being a little dirty. A little dirty is fine.

Guy seems motivated and ready to get back to coaching. I see no reason why this can't happen, but I'm not an insider.

Anyone with any more knowledge?

This would be the best time to replace our head coach as well.

"Clancy was fantastic," said Ed Orgeron, who went 6-2 as the Trojans' interim head coach last season. "His strength is game-day calling. He knows how to attack the no-huddle and really can adjust to what the other team's trying to do. He doesn't panic on the sidelines and the guy really has no ego.
"Look at what he's done as a defensive coordinator at SC, at Cal and in the NFL. He gets results, and he gets them quick."

it looks like he and Miles were both on the staff in Dallas together. Miles was the TE coach from 98-2000, Pendergrast was the DB coach from 96-02
