Ok then let me refraise it. Why would he want to leave with the players he has coached allegedly coming back?

LSU exercised a one year extension option in Chavis' last contract covering 2015. That means Chavis is under contract now for next year.
The redone contract with raises says it replaces that contract and if Miles leaves, it is null and void. LSU protecting itself in case Miles leaves and some new coach wants to bring his staff. Smart move. Now moot.
Chavis would have to buy out of his 2015 contract if he leaves.
He is not going anywhere so just relax.....Miles will be at LSU until he retires.
