So that was you on CityData Dallas and the Reddit Dallas forums asking the same question about water and bugs?
I live in Lakewood and I honestly have no idea what the water tastes like here b/c I drink bottled water.
ETA:
Ok, I can absolutely tell you for certain that the water at my house and at friends' houses in N. Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Rockwall, Sachse and Carrollton is not green at all. It's clear just like anywhere else. It does not coat or crust up on anything. I'm from New Orleans and I don't notice anything different about this water here other than it does taste different from what I gather when brushing my teeth. Not bad. Just different.
As for green water, it sounds like someone is fricking with you

Sure you can filter your drinking water but the idea of bathing in greenish water, brushing my teeth with it, etc and having it coat/crust up everywhere is unappealing.
