Q's improvement from last year to this, IMHO on both ends of the floor had been significant and impressive.

He really struggled last year in almost every aspect I thought given what we had been hearing going in, and other than a couple of games where he had some nice assist totals I was left going into this year hoping he could just find some role to help this team.

But he's exceeded that and more. Left me to think who in LSU basketball past has made as significant improvement from one year to the next.

Gert Hammink made some impressive strides junior to senior season when he got his chance. Dupree from frosh to sophomore. One might say Shaq from his raw freshman to dominant sophomore year.

Who else you got?

He had the tools, just needed to find himself as a player.

I could see Jalyn Patterson making a big jump too at some point...the dude has it.

I want to say I see Elbert Robinson making a big leap too but he's still just getting used to his new body, there's no telling what he'll be like a year or two from now.

Edit - I'm also praying for a Brian Bridgewater growth spurt because he'd be really good at 6'6 or 6'7

He looks like a totally different player. I can't believe how much he has improved. Ball handling, shooting, and decision-making are much improved. Great example of a player putting in the work. And the coaches doing a better job. Johnny bringing that NBA coach seems to have improved the teams play this season. Martin is also a lot better.

Anthony Wilson made a huge jump from seldom used player his first two seasons to double digit scorer and All SEC his senior year.

Ricky Blanton also made a quantum leap from his freshman season.

Ronald Dupree averaged 3 PPG as a freshman backup then jumped to 15 to 17 PPG range rest of his career. Of course his freshman year he played behind some very good players.

Jose Vargas. That guy was so limited early in his career, but turned into an offensive force. He also improved his ability to rebound and play defense without fouling too much. He was always one of my favorite players.
