saw a range of 40 times reported from the Pro Day, but the consensus is in the 4.4 range. That's explosive.

4.47 hand timed.
The shuttle and 3 cone measure agility ( shiftiness). Yeah I'm sure he didnt practice to get ready for his pro day. Come on

The Broad and Vertical are better measures for explosion. Shepard put up good numbers on both jumps. Vertical - 38.5", Broad - 10'2".

this is fricking laughable. How often do the broad jump and vertical jump come into play during a football game? How often do players switch directions and have to accelerate again?

What's your point, lame alter? I said, "4.4 range."

Not what I said. I said my guess is that he didn't practice a lot specifically for those drills. Implicit in that statement -- I'm saying my guess is that his main focus was improving in other areas. That's my guess for why he wasn't as good there as he was in other areas.

Try keeping track of what was said and why. You said:

quote:

He wasnt that explosive.

The Broad and Vertical are better measures for explosion.

You don't know that you're talking about.

NFL teams use both from the combine to measure explosiveness. It doesn't matter if it is used often in games or not. The coaches believe there is a direct correlation between those quick twitch movements and explosiveness

It's almost sad how stupid you are.

Broad jump and vertical are indicative of explosiveness.

Shuttle and 3-cone are indicative of agility and acceleration.
