What a dumb liberal hit piece. Liberals might be fricking retarded.
Oh gee a company wants to make more money! Surprise!

what kind of baggage does a person with 2 kids have to be forced to work at a BK and fail to get promoted from the very bottom?

Not only is Burger King taking money from taxpayers, but now that it’s Canadian, it’s not even going to pay back into the system. It’s like the shareholders have taken a giant vacuum cleaner and are just sucking hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars and depositing them straight into the bank accounts of a few billionaires. Doesn’t really seem fair.
You work for 9 bucks an hour with a couple of kids, you are retarded, proven by this idiocy.

More lethal than the Whopper: How Burger King pleases the 1 percent, screws its workers
For the past year, I’ve worked at a Burger King in Tampa, Florida, making $9 an hour. Taxes are taken right out of my paycheck like they are for most people in America.
Brilliant!

Didn't think there would be much lefty melt over BK.

Put me in that job, not only would I get promoted, I would make more than $15 hourly guaranteed.
I started my own business at 16 yo and now am partner in a thriving medical group. I had no advantage except that I hated poverty and will outwork anyone.
I suggest the author look at self.

So the person dropping fries needs stock options, company car and an expense account? Seems only fair.

Why does a burger king worker deserve to be paid more than what their productivity entitles them to?

What is really funny about the liberal melt down over burger king is that no one has EVER confused Canada with some right wing bastion. When your tax policies suck so hard that companies are running to Canada, you'd think a bit of introspection would be in order.

quote:anthony Moore did not write that article
Anthony Moore works at Burger King in Tampa, Florida, and is part of the nationwide Fight for $15. MORE ANTHONY MOORE.

An idiot that made poor life choices is bitter with a $9/hr. job, doesn't understand the antiquated corporate tax structure that is the highest in the world wants to write an op-ed where they are taken seriously about a company not paying its "fair share" in taxes or a living wage?
frick no, go flip burgers, dumbass.

1) the guy most likely works for a franchisee not corporate.
2) if that's his only income he's getting all his income tax back. He is paying FICA.
3) US profits will still be taxed in the U.S. after an inversion. What an inversion does is eliminate US tax on non- US income.

typical democrat voter. didn't bother to get an education or learn a trade. now he wants $15 an hour cause that would more fair.
dude needs to figure out FAIR is just another four letter F-word.

this article is beyond dumb and this guy understands nothing about how an economy works or how wealth is generated
but I'll play along for a second...
what does this article say about the hypocrisy of warren buffett considering his involvement in the deal?

If the Salon piece author could take advantage of a tax loophole to avoid paying 15-20% of his/her personal taxes, would he/she do it?
I thought so.
Pandering to the masses using class envy. Sells ad space and makes short-sighted folks think they are doing some good in the world.
