Spending Christmas in prison or jail

Has anybody here ever been an inmate during the holidays? Or have family/friends that did?

Two of my brothers have spent quite a few Xmas's in the pen

I spent many a Christmas out to sea on a submarine... it's kinda like prison only the sex isn't as good.

I was in boot camp, and on deployment twice. In boot camp they allowed us 8 hours free time to write letters and we ate a decent meal.

My SIL is going to spend this Christmas in jail. Not going to go into the background of the story. She's just a frick up and needs to be there. Hopefully this will teach her the lesson that's there to be learned.

My 70 year old uncle just got busted for dealing cocaine (again), so he'll be spending Christmas in jail.

A few years ago I was in there for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They feed you a little better. For Christmas I was on my way out and was in a 6 man cell at brpp and had no money to buy things. They guys in my cell hooked me up with the shite they had since it was Christmas.

My brother did in 1999. The sheriff brought him home and let him do Christmas with us then brought him back

I run a car dealership. We had a 21 year old kid try to buy a car from us last Friday. We couldn't get him approved. He swiped the keys off a sales persons desk. We realize the key is missing and lock it up behind a fenced in area when it was time to leave. The next morning we see the car is gone and someone drove a car thru our gate. The kid is in jail, had zero prior offenses.

I've spent one night in jail and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. Baton Rouge parish prison. It was me, three black dudes and two Mexicans in a cell. Nobody messed with me and everyone pretty much slept. The guards were nice and let me make my phone call right when I got there, probably because I was cooperative. That being said, I hope to god I never have to go back haha.
