It just doesn't seem feasible that LSU is the right match, and several factors make that scenario hard to envision.

LSU recruited Anthony Jennings, Brandon Harris and Justin McMillan to play quarterback. The idea of swinging the welcome gate open for a transfer who would be around one season could be detrimental both to the current QBs and future recruiting at that position.

With Barrett suffering a broken ankle in the Buckeyes' regular-season game, Miller has to at least consider the option of staying at Ohio State for his final season and competing to regain the starting job he held in 2012 and 2013.

Current SEC rules very clearly require that four-year/graduate transfers have at least two seasons of eligibility remaining. Miller does not. There is a waiver process for any SEC school that opts to accept Miller, but there is no guarantee that the waiver would pass.

Schools also have to be careful with graduate transfers because the rule requires the player to continue making progress toward a graduate degree for two years. If the player fails to do so, the school will be forbidden to apply for the waiver or any grad transfer for three years in that sport.

Should Miller decide he wants to pursue the graduate transfer option, a perfect fit might well have opened last week when Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman was named the new head man at Houston.

One other consideration is how legitimate Miller transferring for academic reasons would be, or at least construed to be, especially if a waiver is sought.

He'll go to Bama. SEC grants the waiver. After the football season end he "complete" the 2 years of graduate courses "online".

The "waiver" is basically be academically in good standing and have no disciplinary issues.

Said by almost anyone with a functioning brain (that was not JUST fishing for clicks or readers) weeks ago when this ridiculous talk began.

Nice allusion to the offense we run with Jennings in.

@Schultz_Report: Re: on the Braxton Miller transfer rumor, I'm hearing it's between Oregon and LSU. Possibility of Oregon if Mariota goes.
