I just looked it up and LSU has finished higher in rivals' recruiting rankings every year since 2000 with the only exceptions of 2005, when LSU was going through a coaching change, and 2012.

Don't forget 2013
But really, it's not a good comparison to make with LSU because they have been consistently at the top of the recruiting rankings. Michigan usually isn't far behind though.
