This may already have been mentioned so pardon me if it's Germans, but for Lee High specifically the primary requirement to be admitted is for the student to live in LHS's attendance zone.

So Lee High being a magnet is a bit of a misnomer. Practically anyone who lives within its attendance zone will be eligible to be admitted but to stay at the school students will have to maintain a 2.5 gpa minimum and have 'good' attendance.

Unlike Baton Rouge Magnet High, where students need high enough test scores and a minimum 2.5 GPA to get in, students interested in the proposed Lee High magnet would have to fill out an “interest inventory/aptitude” form.
