Have you ever accidentally used a Sharpie on a dry erase board?

Just found out today that you can remove it, by drawing over the sharpie with a dry erase marker, and then erasing it while it is wet.
Just tried it and it blew my mind. I thought I had ruined my big arse dry erase board, nothing was getting it off. I drew on top of the sharpie with the dry erase, and it came right off with the eraser. Like magic.
I'm sure a lot of people know this, but for those that don't...

I think lighter fluid works as well.

Acetone will work as well.

but none of those are as easy as just drawing over the sharpie with the dry erase marker.
I mean like magic... It's quick, no cleaners, no mess, no chemicals.

I usually just pour Everclear on it and it burns right off. True story.

I wrote on one of those plexiglass xray reading boards with a dry erase marker. Thought it would wipe right off but nope. Brasso took it off. Brasso also took the scratches out of a blackberry screen.

everyone is saying how to remove it, the point was the trick was just to use the proper marker and the eraser you already have and it removes it.

That is exactly what a dry erase marker is made from.
Science bitches!

Wish it were that easy to remove the mark someone made on our projector screen with a dry erase marker.

try it.. What happens is the wet ink, causes the dry sharpie ink to also be wet. since both inks are wet they dilute, when they are both wet they can be easily wiped. So I would give it a try.
I also see most of the comments only read the thread title and not the post.
