My mom's side of the family is from Metairie and Kenner. Dad's side is from Lake Charles and the North Shore. We moved for my dad's job back in 04. Still have lots of family across the state, they are visiting my grandmother.

Martins beer selection is a joke. However they do have sixers of Parish's regular line up. ( only place in the area )
Whole Foods is hands down the best option (and it ain't even close) for craft beer. As of yesterday they still had Parish Farmhouse. Check with the folks in the cheese department. They also have everything in NOLA's lineup along with a good selection of other other local beers including So Pro from Mississippi.
Id suggest Rebirth and Irish Channel stout by NOLA.
