hence my criticism of the government on this matter....
Do you think Bush or Reagan, hell even Clinton would've said something would have sat idly by as Barry has?
As soft as Barry has been, there is still time for him to nut up.

You really need to get your head out of your arse.
Yes, I think ALL of those guys would be waiting for the smoking gun before they got up and put NK on blast. Any sane politician would.

I didn't say to threaten NK.
I said he should make a blanket ultimatum to ANYONE who attempts an act of terror on or around the release of this film.
What is so insane about the POTUS addressing the world media threatening terrorists with death?
oh and ETA: he's in the last half of his last term as POTUS and has already lost the midterm elections. He isn't a politician any more. He can say pretty much whatever he wants.

it would just be so crazy if this were the first domino to fall in a series of events leading to the toppling of North Korea
James Franco and Seth Rogen would be world heroes

This country really has gone soft.
Back in my day, it would have been AMERICAN hackers bringing Hollywood to its knees.

A piece of me thinks, if WW3 is inevitable, what a glorious way for it to begin.
Franco, Rogen, and The Interview will be known like the Archduke Franz Ferdinand is known/taught about today

Seth and JF = Gavrillo Princip and his accomplice
Ferdinand = Kim Jong Un
I can see it
I'm outraged by this tough, seriously. I'm ready for some team America action on north korea.

why does he need to go to the media with shite he has already shown?
Again, the dude has been carpet bombing the frick out of various spots in the ME with drones. He essentially told Pakistan to go frick themselves when he got word we could take out OBL. He went straight Munich and sent out a hit squad for that MFer.
Never mind the fact that NK wasn't gonna do a god damn thing at any theater on that flick's release.

and I can guarantee the lawsuits Sony is being hit with are the real reason they yanked the movie.
they can use the threat of violence to try and save face but that aint the reason they canned it.

Obama: Sony Made a Mistake Pulling The Interview
"Sony is a corporation, it suffered significant damage, there were some threats against employees, I am sympathetic to the concerns that they faced. Having said all that, yes, I think they made a mistake," the president said.
"If someone is able to intimidate folks out of releasing a satirical movie, think of what they can do if they see a documentary they don't like, or a news report they don't like," the president continued, noting that self-censorship was another concern. "That's not who we are. That's not what America's about," he said.
"I wish they had spoken to me first," the president said about Sony. "Don't get into a pattern where you're intimidated by these kinds of attacks."
The president confirmed the FBI's report that the attack was carried out by North Korea. "They caused a lot of damage. We will respond. We will respond proportionally and we will respond in a place and a time and a manner that we choose," the president said. "We are working up a range of options and they will be presented to me.
"We have no indication that North Korea was acting in conjunction with any other country," the president said, quashing suspicions that the DPRK received assistance from China or other hostile actors in its wide-ranging cyberattack.

Yes, it does make me happy. I did not know that he had said that.
Unlike you I am emotionless in this.
Good for him, I am proud of it.

come on dude. Did you really just call yourself emotionless when you've been all pissy about Obama not threatening to kill some fools?
