Don't be a dick to them for starters. Stalkers are people, and most of them are pretty sensitive. Just don't be a jerk and things should work out for everybody.

In some instances, especially after trying to be nice and civil to no avail, you have to be a dick, so that they get the message, and leave you alone. It's not pretty, but sometimes it's necessary.
