“Breathe easy, don’t break the law” in response to the Notre Dame protest. The South Bend Tribune reports three Common Council members want Barthel to stop selling those shirts, saying they send a “divisive message.

Seriously?

Is it divisive because it's in response to the shirts worn by the basketball team or is it divisive because it is being portrayed as racist?

It's divisive bc the cop is basically saying "you get what's coming to you if you disobey insignificant laws"

fricking dumbass cop, but I wouldn't expect much more out of that group.

And "I Can't Breathe" doesn't send a "divisive message?"

Unless he is selling them on duty, what is the problem? Freedom sucks doesn't it?

Why don't you become a Cop and change the mind set.

Yeah some cops can be real fricking dicks, but in my experience the people who constantly harp on cops being dicks are just as big a dick as the as the cops they bitch about.

Where did I say that he didn't have the right to make stupid fricking shirts?

Amen, I also find both shirts to be divisive.

I also believe that he has the right to sell the shirts, just like the ones selling the other shirts

This. The anti-cop rhetoric on this board has become absolutely childish.

Just like the Baltimore Chief asking when they are going to march for the officers being shot in the line of duty. The NAACP didn't like that. I guess we can march for criminals, but not for officers. That is what this country is coming to.

Agree. Yet let one of them get caught driving drunk, kill a few people, and they will line up to defend them.

what he said ^

I think the cop-haters on this board are pathetic. It would serve them right if they ever have to call 911 and get exactly they kind of cop they think envision all cops to be.

Fortunately for them, they will be served by one of the cops that represent the 99.9% of cops - eager to protect them, dedicated to their service, kind, helpful, and just hoping to live another day to go home to their own loved ones.

I really abhor the anti-cop rhetoric coming from these dweebs. I think it all stems from their dope-addled minds.

I really hate dope heads.

"don't break the law"

Do they also make shirts that say, "Don't go shopping at Wal mart?" LINK

And shirts that say, "Don't have your car stolen and sleep in the privacy of your own home?" LINK
