Where do you think Rondo is in the hierarchy of the league's point guards? Of all point guards, I think his value is most tied to his teammates' talent, so it's tough to judge him because he's been on bad teams. I don't think he's top 10 either way.

That in itself drops him a rung. He is an average staring PG who played with 3 of the best floor spacers on any team in NBA history and got pumped up a bit.

He's a niche PG based on his skill set, and not a star. I wouldn't put him top 10 either. But on the right team he can still be really effective with his distributing, defense, and rebounding. Dude can drop a triple-double on any given night, and that's extremely valuable.

How he meshes with Ellis will be the interesting part, Imo.
