Consent is not required, but common sense dictates that most urologists will inquire if they have discussed it with their significant other. Some urologists would object to performing the procedure on a man who has a very vocal significant other who objects (at that point the patient is encouraged to get a second opinion or find a provider who is comfortable with the scenario).
Fortunately this is not a very common problem.

i was denied a vasectomy b.c i didn't have kids. Dr was an a-hole, found a new dr.
to OP, this is a great idea by missouri republicans for making sure that HRC is elected. why can't thye just shut the frick up?
