Breastfeed man if she can. It is cheaper and better for the baby. This is a proven medical fact. Sometimes it just doesn't work for one reason or another and it is hard. But my wife is so happy she did it and swears it has led to some special bond with our daughter. But in the spirit of this board it does save a shitload of money

Biggest expense for us is daycare ($670 per month) and the fact that my wife cut down to 3 days per week...she worked too much before and would never see the baby. But we still pay for full time daycare, which is lovely.

So probably an extra grand of expenses and $2K less coming in...is not that great
