LMAO. I mean seriously, how stupid can some of these people be? Mediocrity?

Mediocrity to me would be middle of the pack.....or they were a perennial 25-30th ranked team.....comical. I would venture to guess that if one did the math, it would come out that since 2000, LSU is in the top 5 in wins, top 25 wins, national championship appearances, national championship wins, SEC championship appearances/wins.....the list could literally go on and on to prove LSU isn't mediocre....also, I realize Miles wasn't here in 2000......

to me it's just the way some of them come at it. Instead of having constructive and objective criticism or observations of aspects of the program they seem to be bitter negative little people who seem to have a hate for LSU and/or Les Miles.

This is not the problem people just haven't given up on these coaches yet. Yes they aren't perfect but who is? If bama would have started a freshman or sophomore QB their season wouldn't be so great this year. One thing Saban does that miles doesn't though is change game styles/plans to what he has. Miles just runs his offense the way he always has, I think things will turn around but if we do not improve on O next year I give them 1 more and that's it and I believe the rest of the fans feel the same way. Miles has won too many games and has done a great job keeping us above average. If we are in the top 25 and even top 10 every year which is the case then we have a great shot at competing for a ship. It's not miles its the QB situation people and some of that isn't miles, but the media feed this to everyone and everyone sees it that way.

Who is responsible for having these two QBs on the roster?

Miles finds his guy and he's stuck with him. In 2011 when Lee had LSU 7-0, Les couldn't wait to plug JJ back in after the suspension. He never looked back.

When the same issues arise year after year it tends to make fans bitter.

most threads I read where someone discusses the reality of our program people constantly bash them and tell them to support Bama.

What's wrong with wanting to compete for championships?

LSU has every quality you need to do this, yet coaching seems to be keeping us down.

I really didn't get through the first 3 or 4 pages of this thread because quite frankly, starting with the last sentence of the OP it just degenerated into the usual tit for tat.

But here is an attempt to answer your questions legitimately without bashing either way:

You ask why wanting better is a negative? The answer is it isn't. I think if you started a thread titled "I want LSU to have a better year next year" not too many people would disagree with that desire.

You ask what's wrong with wanting to compete for championships? The answer is nothing. I think if you started a thread titled "I want LSU to compete for championships next year" no one would disagree with that desire.

What I think is "negative" is when the vast majority of any poster's posts are ... well, negative. Always downing the program or a part of the program. Always concentrating on the negative.

Football is a form of entertainment. It is meant for people to enjoy. There is a lot to enjoy and be entertained (for me at least)in watching the Tigers, even in relatively down years.

There are reasons the old sayings like "enjoy the journey not the destination" and "look at the bright side of things" have been around so long and repeated so many times.

If something like a football game or season is making someone so unhappy that all they can do is complain about this or that, then that person maybe is investing in the wrong form of entertainment. (I realize that there are all kinds of personalities in the world and some people may actually get a form of joy or entertainment out of constantly complaining or bitching. That seems a shallow form of joy but perhaps for those people that's as good as it can get).

Anyway, that's my philosophical musings on your questions.

We're not downing the program as some dumazz pumpers suggest.....were downing Les Miles for being a dinosaur where the offense is concerned. He IS NOT the program......he never has been. There's a difference.

I agree, if we keep running the same shite offense we have been for the last couple years next season, then we have to make a change. I don't think we are though going to keep running the same shite offense. The philosophy that 'we are going to impose our will, out man you, out physical you, beat you up, etc. and we don't care if you know what is coming or not we are going to do it anyway regardless of what you do on defense' has to change. I think changes are happening. Even though we ran the ball a lot against Texas A&M, we still sought to keep them off balance. We didn't just say we are going to impose our will and over power them. We'll see.

Such anger. Hopefully you can find some enjoyment in Tiger football somewhere. Perhaps concentrate your energies on a part of the program that doesn't bring you such hate and unhappiness.

remember this

The one thing the Saban worshipers conveniently leave out of the equation when talking Saban and Les times at LSU is the fact the SEC was no where near as strong in the Saban years here as it has been in the Miles years.

SEC teams in the BCSCG from 2000 to 2004 equals one.

SEC teams in the BCSCG from 2005 to 2014 equals nine.

Threads like this suck balls. Why is it only constant whiners think they're the only ones that aren't happy with the offense?

Oh great groupee.....wow.....there's an excuse we can all hang our hats on! So because everyone else is better....that somehow justifies our own ineptitude?

And I could argue Harris started sooner than anyone. You recall in 08 the fans booed Lee. It took him getting injured to finally play JJ.

Harris started, not due to injury or suspension.
