If LSU beats Notre Dame in the bowl, it would share a distinction w/ only 2 other NCAA programs (Michigan & Nebraska). LSU would be 1 of the 3 programs who have played ND 10+ times & have any winning record vs the Irish. BTW, UM is 19-15-1 vs ND. Nebraska is 8-7-1.

The Tiger Rant: where sunshine pumpers come to look for silver linings

So now that we aren't that great all of a sudden ND is the end-all be-all of football programs and we are just fortunate to even have a chance to stand across the field from them??

Stop comparing us to other teams. The only team and only stat that matter are LSU and whether we have that 2014 natty. Everything else is hot air and bs so just please stop

Yay! Another reason to keep Les. Let's see: Helped us get all-time series lead with Notre Dame, awesome clock management, great QB developer. That settles it. We should keep Miles.

Nowhere in that post did he say that... are you this stupid in real life, or just on the internet?

Dumb, so 119 teams have a rotten year because they didn't win the natty?

Good grief. We have some of the worst fans in America.

Yea,lets all curse the program until the 2015 season kicks off. Let's play only walkons vs Notre Dame. That'd show everybody!

"So now that we aren't that great all of a sudden ND is the end-all be-all of football programs and we are just fortunate to even have a chance to stand across the field from them??"

I didn't say that about ND. If you think ND isn't still highly respected as a program & considered a blue-blood of NCAA FB, you haven't been reading/watching any nat'l media coverage of the sport in the past 100 yrs or so.

"Stop comparing us to other teams. The only team and only stat that matter are LSU and whether we have that 2014 natty. Everything else is hot air and bs so just please stop."

You think no one else compares LSU to other teams? Do you know that LSU was ranked in the top 10 of every poll in '98 in part after dominating ND in a 3rd rate bowl at the end of the '97 season? The same occurred after LSU blasted ND in the Sugar Bowl at the end of the '06 season. Whether you like it or not, if LSU whips ND like so many people expect, including ND's fans,it will attract nat'l attention. You think that won't be reflected in the final polls? Despite what the committee members say, they follow NCAA FB closely & can't help but be influenced by the polls. If LSU is in the top 10 pre-season polls, that strengthens its case to be in the top 4 of the committee's poll.
If you only care about winning a nat'l title in '14, go jump on the Gumps' bandwagon.

Nowhere in my post did I mention Miles. Perhaps you meant to post in the "I despise Les Miles with all of my being & wish he would go to Michigan or just drop dead" string?
