It was supposed to be a bridge season for a spinoff where the original characters would all leave and the new crew (whom I really liked, especially James Franco) would take over.

Dave Franco. And yeah, Season 9 was fricking hilarious. I don't care what anyone says. By the end, I loved it.

But the Season 8 finale was money.

That show may have been the most consistent sitcom of all time. It was funnier, to me, than Seinfeld ever hoped to be, while simultaneously maintaining a very real and very emotional sense of itself. It was truly one of a kind. I honestly cannot think of another sitcom that married drama and comedy so well.
